Welcome to Digital Heritage Projects in the Arctic Regions
Through these pages, we hope to provide an understanding about the concept of digital
heritage and the implications of using digital heritage for indigenous groups in the Arctic
regions. In addition, we hope to provide a platform that creates awareness of all the
different types of digital heritage projects that are being performed by independent
researchers, community groups, government and academic bodies in these remote
locations. This platform comes in the form a database, that we have begun. But to
accomplish a comprehensive data set, we require the assistance of those people,
communities and organisations who are engaging in these digital heritage projects to add
to this database.
